Rule 800 was conceptualized to monitor physicians monitoring medical treatments in clinics offering such. Rule 800 stipulates appropriate training of medical personnel and ultimate supervision by the directing doctor. Rule 800 requires that the directing doctor oversee patient evaluations and patient treatments from a distance of 30 minutes or less. Dr. Jeffrey Raval meets those standards ubiquitously. Complaints to the Medical Board precipitated the Medical Board’s review of Rule 800. It seems that some clinics are not adhering to Rule 800 requirements in the context of the prescribed doctor-patient relationship.
