What to Expect
Before the procedure - No anesthesia is required. Your doctor will ask you to make a series of frowning expressions prior to treatment to determine where to administer the Botox injections.

The procedure - This simple, 10-minute, non-surgical procedure causes little to no discomfort. Your doctor will administer several tiny injections of BOTOX Cosmetic directly into the muscles that cause frown lines.

After the procedure - No down time is required. Go back to your regular activities immediately. Slight inflammation or bruising and tenderness may be associated with the injection. Patients with certain neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may be at increased risk of serious side effects.

How Often is Treatment Recommended? - BOTOX treatments temporarily reduce wrinkles and lines for up to 4 months. Within days, you should see a noticeable improvement. You can receive injections with BOTOX Cosmetic up to every 4 months to help maintain the results. If you discontinue treatment, the frown lines between your brows gradually will look like they did before treatment.
